Biography

Dr. M Enamul Hoque is a Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST), Dhaka, Bangladesh. He also had been an Associate Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at King Faisal University (KFU), Saudi Arabia from September 2015 – September 2017. During his time at KFU he also served as a Chairman in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at KFU for the period of January 2016 – December 2016. Prior to joining KFU he served as an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical, Materials & Manufacturing Engineering and Founding Head of the Bioengineering Research at the University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus (UNMC) from August 2007 to August 2015. He received his PhD from the National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore in 2007. He also obtained his PGCHE (Post Graduate Certificate in Higher Education) from the University of Nottingham, UK in 2015. He is a Chartered Engineer (C Eng) certified by the Engineering Council, UK and Fellow of Higher Education Academy (FHEA), UK. Besides, He is a member of several professional scientific bodies that include Institute of Mechanical Engineer (IMechE), UK; Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3), UK; Institute of Materials Malaysia (IMM), Malaysia; Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine International Society (TERMIS), USA; and Tissue Engineering Society Malaysia (TESMA), Malaysia. So far, he has authored 3 books, edited 3 books and co-authored 19 book chapters. He has also published around 160 technical papers in referred journals and international conference proceedings. His publications have attracted around 769 citations. His research interests include the areas of Biomaterials, Biocomposites, Tissue Engineering, Stem Cells, Rapid Prototyping Technology, Nanotechnology, Nanomaterials, Bioenergy & Food Technology. He has collaborated multidisciplinary research projects with vibrant research teams around the world that include Australia, Bangladesh, Denmark, France, India, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, UAE, UK, USA and so on.
